Stack: Designing a Peptide Tracking App Around Transformation

Role: UI/UX Designer Duration: Late 2025 – April 2026 Category: Mobile App, Brand System, Multi-Touchpoint Design Tools: Figma, FigJam

About Project

Designed the full mobile UI for Stack, a peptide and supplement tracking app for the health optimization community. End-to-end work across onboarding, daily tracking, protocol management, and progress dashboards.

Problem

Peptide users are obsessive trackers by necessity, dosing schedules, injection sites, supplement stacks, side effects. But existing tools are either generic medication trackers (too clinical) or spreadsheets (too manual).
Nobody was building for the actual behavior, people who track relentlessly because they want to see transformation.

The challenge - design an app that rewards the routine without making the routine feel like a chore

Approach

Three decisions shaped the entire UI.
Reframed the core value proposition
The client wanted to lead with "transformation is the reward, tracking is a chore." I pushed back, the people who actually transform are the disciplined trackers.
So instead of de-emphasizing tracking, I tied the shareable transformation moments to logging consistency. Unlock the 30-day card after 25+ days logged. Engagement loop and growth loop in one mechanism.
Killed a feature
The team wanted OCR supplement scanning. I argued it was dev complexity with no real user value, without a barcode product database, it's slower than just searching. Demoted to a secondary icon next to the search bar. Saved weeks of build time.
Split the roadmap
V1 proves the tracking concept (daily logging, protocol checklists, streaks). V2 unlocks the transformation features (progress photos, timeline, shareable cards). One clear story per release instead of trying to be both at once.

Output

Designing an end-to-end peptide app tracker that includes each feature to solve the user problem about peptides:
Onboarding - sets up the user's protocol and goals upfront so the dashboard is personalized from day one
Daily tracking dashboard - solves the "did I take it today?" anxiety with a single-screen overview of doses, supplements, and streaks
Injection site mapping - solves the rotation problem peptide users actually have, with a visual body map that flags overused sites
Protocol management - handles the complexity of multi-peptide stacks without overwhelming new users

Outcome

Stack now has a clear product story track to transform, and the tracking is what earns the transformation. The roadmap is lean enough to ship V1 without scope creep, and the UI is consistent enough that V2 features will plug in without redesigning the foundation.
The product is still in development, so I can't share user metrics yet, but the design decisions removed weeks of unnecessary build time and gave the team a sharper focus on what V1 actually needs to prove.
