Optimus by Afrinvest is a next-generation Fintech solution that empowers users to effortlessly save, invest and spend their money. With Optimus, users can invest in the best investment portfolio types from around the world, with a user-friendly platform that replaces the traditional approach to asset management.

Afrinvest's decades of experience in managing the assets and investment portfolios of high net worth individuals underpins the design of Optimus, which combines cutting-edge digital technology with human expertise to deliver superior investment outcomes.

Our primary goal was to create a user-friendly platform that would build trust and encourage users to save, invest, and spend their money with Optimus. To achieve this, we focused on designing a seamless onboarding experience that would guide users through the various features of the product, while also creating an engaging interface that would make it easy for them to track their payments, save for personal goals, and plan their financial future.

At Optimus, I led the design of the web platform and contributed to the design of some mobile features servicing 160,000+ users. I was tasked to create a user-friendly platform that builds trust focusing on a user-centered approach, the design has successfully led to a 50% increase in signups and a transaction volume of over $25 million and has over 8 billion naira ($6 million) Assets under management (AuM) since the product launch.
