NosotrosCine: Designing a Cohesive Identity for Film Enthusiasts
1. Overview and Core Values The Client: NosotrosCine is a media platform dedicated to film enthusiasts, offering critical analysis and fostering a passionate community around cinema.
Core Values: The identity needed to reflect the platform's essence: "We are viewers, we are users, we are the community meeting point."
The Project: A comprehensive brand strategy and design development focused on creating a unified visual system and an iconic logo that embodies the brand's mission.
The Logo Solution: The Spectator's Eye I designed the brand mark to visually communicate Nosotros Cine's core values. The logo evokes an eye, symbolizing the act of being a spectator.
The central dot serves a dual purpose: it represents the community's meeting point and subtly references the classic 'REC' recording symbol, connecting the brand to filmmaking and media production. This multi-layered logo provides a strong, memorable anchor for the entire visual identity.
Comprehensive Visual System Beyond the logo, I developed a detailed visual system to ensure order and consistency across the platform:
The Complete Brand Manual: I created a comprehensive brand manual defining the identity's voice, usage rules, and design parameters to ensure long-term consistency and professionalism across all team members and platforms.
Content Classification Color Palette: A strategic chromatic palette was developed to address content organization challenges. This system assigns distinct colors to four main content categories: Awards, Documentaries, Series, and Movies, facilitating easy navigation and intuitive content filtering on their website and social media.
Streamlined Editable Templates: To simplify content production, I created a set of editable templates in Adobe Illustrator. These assets enable the Nosotros Cine team to efficiently produce new content daily by updating text and images, ensuring their frequent publishing schedule remains visually cohesive.
