Client: IHSU, a dynamic media and audiovisual production company.
The Project: Comprehensive brand refresh focused on evolving their core symbol (the owl) into a unique character, defining a new logo system, and creating engaging branded merchandise and social media assets.
The Challenge: IHSU needed to upgrade its brand presence. While the owl symbol was central to their identity, the existing generic illustration no longer represented their unique style or creative approach. They lacked a true, cohesive logo and high-impact physical assets that resonated with their audience.
The Solution & Deliverables I developed a multi-layered identity system that preserved the symbolic value of the owl while injecting personality and style:
The Brand Mascot (Character Design): A new, friendly brand companion was created, moving the generic owl into a custom-illustrated character. I developed multiple poses and expressions to give the brand versatility and allow the mascot to accompany the identity across various platforms and applications.
The Pixel-Art Logo: To represent their media focus, a custom pixel-style logo was designed. This is not a "perfect" or generic pixel design; it incorporates subtle, unique details that reflect IHSU's distinct, unconventional spirit within the audiovisual industry.
Branded Merchandise & Touchpoints: Custom business cards and a collection of aesthetically pleasing stickers were designed. These high-quality, appealing stickers were developed specifically as engaging giveaways for clients, ensuring they have a constant, cool reminder of the IHSU brand—moving past typical, unused logo-only stickers.
Social Media Assets: A set of editable, on-brand templates were created for their social media platforms, allowing the team to easily change images and content while maintaining a professional and consistent visual presence.
