Diacon is a health-tech company, we are dedicated to enhancing the patient experience throughout their healthcare journey.

We believe that medical reports play a crucial role in improving patient experience. However, the current situation, where medical records are fragmented and there's a lack of integration between healthcare providers, along with the fact that some providers have not implemented electronic medical records yet, has created a complicated healthcare journey for patients. This complexity often leads to challenges in achieving better outcomes at an affordable price.

💡 How might we simplify the process of accessing and managing medical records to enhance the patient experience throughout their healthcare journey, considering the fragmented nature and lack of integration between healthcare providers' systems?

I conducted a comprehensive analysis of both direct and indirect competitors for Arsip Sehat, such as Halodoc, Alodoc, and Klikdokter to assess their feature sets, information architecture, UX/UI practices, and visual style. This provided valuable insights into the best practices to adopt and areas to avoid.

Competitor Analysis: Examined both direct competitors (those offering similar services directly) and indirect competitors (those with related services or overlapping target markets) such as Halodoc, Alodoc, and Klikdokter.

Feature Sets: Investigated the features offered by each competitor, including but not limited to functionalities like appointment scheduling, health records management, telemedicine services, etc.

Information Architecture: Assessed how information is structured and organized within each competitor's platform, including navigation menus, categorization of content, and overall user flow.

UX/UI Practices: Evaluated the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design elements employed by each competitor to ensure ease of use, intuitive interactions, and visually appealing interfaces.

Visual Style: Analyzed the visual aesthetics and design elements used across the competitors' platforms, including color schemes, typography, imagery, and overall branding consistency.

Insights on Best Practices: Identified effective strategies and features utilized by competitors that could be beneficial for Arsip Sehat to adopt, such as successful UX/UI patterns or innovative features that enhance user experience.

Areas to Avoid: Highlighted potential pitfalls or weaknesses observed in competitors' offerings, guiding decisions on what strategies or features to avoid or improve upon in Arsip Sehat's development.

After conducting a brief research on competitors and seeking inspiration, the next step is to create a user flow. This is useful for providing an overview of how complex this application is and determining which features can be developed.

One crucial aspect of being a designer is to create a design system to maintain design consistency, seamlessness, and to streamline work for both designers and developers as a reference.
