Chisos Brewing, a family-owned brewery and pub based in Alpine, Texas, sought to develop a brand identity that encapsulated the enchantment and natural beauty of West Texas. The goal was to create a visual and sensory experience that would reflect the diverse spirit of Alpine's residents while celebrating the local heritage and unique flavors of their beer and cider.

The challenge was to craft an identity that not only represented the natural landscape of West Texas but also resonated with both locals and visitors. It was essential to incorporate meaningful symbols that reflected the cultural heritage of the region while also appealing to a broad audience. The brand needed to convey the refreshing and vibrant essence of Chisos Brewing’s products through its design and merchandise.

The solution involved developing a brand identity centered around the Ocotillo plant, a symbol of the vibrant life that emerges in the desert after rain. The use of the Ocotillo’s scarlet flowers paid homage to Native American traditions and highlighted Chisos Brewing's connection to local heritage. This symbol was consistently applied across all branding elements, from metallic foiled bottle labels to business cards, coasters, apparel, and tote bags. The cohesive design created an inviting and recognizable brand experience that captured the essence of Alpine and the refreshing quality of Chisos Brewing's beer and cider.

Working closely with the Chisos Brewing team, a visual identity was crafted that combined the natural beauty of West Texas with the cultural depth of the region. The design process involved selecting colors, patterns, and symbols that would resonate with both the local community and visitors. High-quality materials and thoughtful design were used to create merchandise and branding collateral, ensuring that every touchpoint, from bottles to business cards, reflected the quality and authenticity of the Chisos Brewing experience.
