Client: Whole Foods Market Foundation
Goal
The Whole Foods Market Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Whole Foods Market, needed a Squarespace microsite to highlight the collective impact of its various programs: Whole Cities, Whole Kids, and Whole Planet. The goal was to create a central hub that served as a starting point for users to learn more about these individual initiatives and direct them to each program’s dedicated website.
Key Challenges
The primary challenge was to effectively incorporate the newly established branding for the Whole Foods Market Foundation while respecting the unique identities of each of the individual nonprofits. Additionally, the project required a quick turnaround, and there was limited content available for the microsite, necessitating a strategic approach to design and information presentation.
Solution
A custom Squarespace microsite was designed, building upon and expanding the recently developed Whole Foods Market Foundation branding. The microsite needed to feel like a natural extension of the Whole Foods brand, providing a cohesive yet distinct experience that aligned with the overall look and feel of the organization. The design focused on creating a visually appealing and informative platform that could serve as an effective introduction to the foundation's work.
Process
Collaborating closely with leaders from the Whole Foods Market Foundation, a microsite was developed to effectively communicate the Foundation’s mission and initiatives. Careful attention was given to balancing the overarching brand identity with the individual visual styles of Whole Cities, Whole Kids, and Whole Planet, ensuring each program maintained its unique presence. The design leveraged existing visual elements to create a compelling and informative user experience, capitalizing on the foundation’s new branding initiative.
