I recently got the chance to work on the branding and packaging for Hygo.co, where I created a custom typeface using RoboFont.
I’m still fine-tuning the kerning, numbers and special characters, but the whole process of crafting something that perfectly fits the brand’s language has been incredibly fun.
A big shoutout to Ohno Type Co. for their insightful blog posts on letterforms and their RoboFont tutorials on YT. I also learned a ton from Type Design School’s videos, which gave me a solid foundation.
The main font is a modified version of Sharktooth heavy, and I even created a spray-style variant as part of the exploration.
