Dating App Design

The scope of this task was the app's user experience, including a simplified user interface, improved onboarding process, improved communication tools, prioritized safety and privacy, intuitive profile customization, and updated visual aesthetics.

I have done Stakeholder Interviews, Requirements Gathering and Competitor analysis. This initial phase is crucial for understanding the business objectives, technical constraints, and overall vision for the project. It's a foundational step in the broader Design Thinking process, which encompasses understanding, ideation, prototyping, and testing.

These are discussions with key stakeholders Erica Sinner & developer Ajay Kanade to gather insights on the business goals, target audience, desired features, and any technical limitations or opportunities. This helps ensure that the design aligns with both business objectives and user needs.

This phase involves compiling the information obtained from stakeholder interviews into a comprehensive set of project requirements. These requirements have guided the design and development phases, ensuring the final product meets both stakeholder expectations and user needs.

Analyzing competitors' strengths, weaknesses, and product improvements, I compared Dating applications and user reviews to gain a competitive advantage for Dancecard and its features. I have tested the following,

Based on the research, I have developed new design prototypes focusing on:

Simplified navigation with a more intuitive layout.

Enhanced profile customization to better express user personalities.

Improved chat features with integrated video calls and message organization.

A modernized visual design with a fresh color scheme and typography.

Prototypes were tested with a select group of users, providing valuable feedback that led to several iterations. This iterative process ensured the redesign met user needs and expectations.
