Social High Rise –– a digital marketing agency –– uses Make.com ( formerly Integromat ) to power their automations. Make.com is a notable no-code SaaS app used to create automations via familiar and human-friendly interface.

They [Social Highrise] were building an automation in Make, but got stuck along the way. The problem was that they needed to use a feature in the Google API for Gmail; specifically to add forwarding addresses. Unfortunately, using this API requires a code-based environment to be fully-functional, and Make is a no-code tool with very limited code support.

As a workaround, we built a low-code automation ( using a service called Pipedream ). Within this automation, we wrote all the code required to add forwarding addresses for the respective Gmail accounts. This automation was then connected to Make via a simple HTTP request.

All tolled, we were able to get their Make automation unstuck and restore the workflow automation.
