Currently, I help manage and produce content for the National Building Museum's Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok accounts. Here at the museum, we focus on building brand recognition in the Washington, D.C. museum, architecture, and design communities.
Well to start, if you are in the Washington, D.C. area you have to check it out. It's a fun museum housed in the historic old Pension building (and the Gen-Zer in me has to admit that it is the perfect backdrop for Instagram photos.) The museum focuses on educating, entertaining, and engaging people about the built environment and challenges them to advocate for a sustainable and equitable future.
With the help of a team of three, I closely collaborate with them to produce fresh graphics, cool videos, and capture incredible pictures of the museum and its latest exhibitions. We follow a social media strategy plan for each fiscal year and work together to adhere to a schedule that includes weekly postings on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok. Each of these platforms can showcase distinctive exhibitions, peculiar finds in the collections department, or exciting events that focus on their mission-driven work.
