In our initial meeting, Susie and I discussed her goals and who her audience tends to be selling in galleries so far. Susie's main goal was to get out of the galleries and reach a wider audience, catering to some younger people. We thought it best to create an ecommerce website to showcase her art in a beautiful way. For this website, we discussed the pages, colors, and feel that she wanted for her brand. We wanted to display her art on the website in such a way that did not take away from the beautiful pieces she has to offer, but to enhance them instead. The goal was to have the products feel as though they are in a gallery, as if the pieces are on display. The colors we decided to use were red and green because they are complimentary colors that create a sense of action from the viewer to purchase the pieces from Susie Hoffman Fine Arts.
Susie takes paintings to local galleries in her area and as a result, those original pieces will not be available for sale online, but she would have prints of the original pieces made to order. We wanted to make sure to accommodate her needs in this e-commerce store, so we made sure to include this specialization just for her!
