🧠 About the Project: PROONE is an innovative interior design brand that specializes in transforming abstract ideas into tangible, functional structures. The project focused on redesigning the brand's homepage to serve as a digital gateway, showcasing inspiring portfolios, interactive tools for visualizing custom designs, and seamless pathways for user inquiries. The goal was to create a user-centric experience that blends creativity with practicality, helping visitors explore personalized design solutions while reinforcing PROONE's ethos of innovation and craftsmanship.
🚧 The Challenge: The client wanted to elevate PROONE's online presence to attract a broader audience of homeowners, businesses, and design enthusiasts, but faced several hurdles:
A need for a homepage that emotionally engages users through visual storytelling while remaining intuitive and easy to navigate.
Balancing high-fidelity visuals (e.g., 3D renderings and photo galleries) with fast load times and mobile responsiveness.
Integrating interactive elements, such as a design configurator or quote request forms, without overwhelming users.
Establishing a scalable design system that could adapt to future expansions, like e-commerce for products or virtual reality tours, while maintaining a cohesive brand identity. ✍️ My Approach: As the lead designer, I oversaw the full web design process, from initial strategy to final implementation:
Mapped user journeys to prioritize key sections like a hero banner for inspiration, a portfolio grid for showcasing projects, and a contact flow for quick inquiries.
Designed an interactive "Idea-to-Structure" tool that allows users to upload images or describe concepts, with simple AI-assisted suggestions to mimic a collaborative design process.
Created a clean, dashboard-style layout for the homepage to centralize featured projects, user testimonials, and call-to-action buttons, ensuring a mobile-first approach for broad accessibility.
Defined a visual identity using warm earth tones for comfort, bold accents for creativity, custom icons for design elements, and modern sans-serif typography to evoke professionalism and approachability.
Incorporated a freemium model with gated access to premium features, such as detailed design consultations or virtual walkthroughs, to drive user engagement and conversions.
Results: The redesigned homepage delivered a polished, user-friendly experience that effectively captured PROONE's brand essence and drove higher engagement. It resulted in increased site traffic, improved conversion rates for inquiries, and positioned PROONE as a forward-thinking leader in interior design. The design system is now scalable, supporting future enhancements like integrated AR tools for virtual room previews and partnerships with suppliers, ultimately helping the brand transform more ideas into reality.
