RENOME, an E-commerce home styling furniture store

Muhammad Hamza Zahid

Client: RENOME Home Furniture Brand Role: E-commerce UX/UI Designer Scope: Homepage Design · E-commerce Strategy · Brand Identity Application Tools: Figma, Shopify, Adobe Photoshop, Sketch
🧠 About the Project: RENOME is a premium home furniture brand that positions itself as "Your Home Styling Expert." The project's objective was to design the homepage for their e-commerce website, crafting a digital storefront that not only showcased their diverse product catalog but also established the brand's authority and expertise in interior design. The goal was to create a clean, elegant, and intuitive user experience that guided customers from inspiration to purchase.
🚧 The Challenge: The client needed a homepage design that could:
Effectively organize and present a wide range of furniture categories (e.g., Sofas, Beds, Wardrobes) without cluttering the page.
Balance high-impact seasonal promotions, such as the "Eid Sale," with the brand's sophisticated aesthetic.
Reinforce the brand's "home styling expert" tagline by integrating content that goes beyond product listings.
Provide a seamless and engaging browsing experience that encourages exploration of both new and existing collections.
Maintain a visually cohesive and professional look that reflects the quality of their furniture.
✍️ My Approach: As the lead designer, I managed the entire design process, from strategic planning to high-fidelity mockups:
Structured the Information Architecture: I designed a clear visual hierarchy, starting with a bold promotional hero banner, followed by an icon-based "Our categories" section for quick, intuitive navigation.
Designed for Engagement and Discovery: I created a "New Arrivals" section with clean, modular product cards that prominently displayed pricing, discounts, and a wish list feature, making it easy for users to find and save new items.
Integrated Brand Expertise: To reinforce the "styling expert" positioning, I included a "Latest articles" section, designing a layout for the blog previews that was clean and readable, encouraging users to click through and engage with valuable content.
Refined Visual Identity: I applied the brand's core visual language, utilizing a bold yellow and black color palette for impact while keeping the overall design minimal and clean to let the furniture photography speak for itself.
Optimized for E-commerce Best Practices: I ensured all key elements—from the navigation bar to product cards—followed e-commerce best practices, with clear calls-to-action and a prominent shopping cart icon to streamline the user's path to purchase.
Results: The final homepage delivered a structured, professional, and conversion-focused e-commerce experience. The design successfully marries promotional content with a high-end brand feel, making it easy for users to navigate the product catalog and discover new items. The strategic inclusion of the blog section positions RENOME as a trusted authority, building brand loyalty and providing a strong foundation for future content marketing efforts and sustained business growth.
