Élodie Marceau — Therapist & Mental Wellness Brand Identity

Élodie Marceau is a refined personal brand identity created for a therapist and mental wellness consultant working with adults, adolescents, and families.
The project was built around the idea that mental wellness should feel calm, human, sophisticated, and deeply reassuring. Rather than using visual language that feels overly clinical or institutional, I wanted the identity to create a sense of trust, emotional safety, clarity, and quiet confidence.
The resulting brand combines elegant typography, a restrained neutral palette, soft organic symbolism, tactile materials, and serene art direction to communicate a practice centered on listening, understanding, balance, and personal growth.
At the heart of the identity is a simple emotional progression:
Écouter. Comprendre. Avancer. Listen. Understand. Move forward.
This message became the foundation for the entire visual system.

My Role

For this project, I worked as the Brand Identity Designer, Art Director, Visual Designer, Editorial Designer, and Brand Strategist.
My responsibilities included defining the creative direction, developing the visual identity, designing the logotype and supporting symbol, establishing the typography and color system, creating business stationery, developing the environmental and poster applications, and building a consistent visual language that could extend across both printed and digital brand touchpoints.
My main objective was to create an identity that feels professional without becoming cold, elegant without becoming distant, and emotionally sensitive without relying on predictable wellness clichés.
Therapy is often associated with some of the most personal and vulnerable moments in a person's life. Because of this, I wanted the identity to communicate reassurance before any conversation even begins.
The concept is built around four ideas:
Listening. Clarity. Balance. Growth.
These principles appear directly within the brand's communication and are reflected visually through simplicity, openness, soft forms, and generous negative space.
Instead of using traditional clinical symbols, the identity takes a more abstract and emotional approach, allowing the brand to feel timeless and personal.
The poster application was designed to show how the identity could live within a therapeutic environment.
The central message:
Écouter · Comprendre · Avancer
is treated as large-scale editorial typography, transforming the practice philosophy into part of the physical space.
Rather than simply decorating the room, the graphic becomes a quiet reminder of the therapeutic process.
The identity needed to communicate expertise while also reducing the sense of distance that can sometimes exist between a professional service and the person seeking help.
For that reason, every design decision was intentionally subtle.
There are no unnecessary visual distractions, aggressive colors, or complicated graphic systems. Instead, the brand creates its personality through typography, spacing, materials, organic forms, and atmosphere.
The final result is a sophisticated yet deeply human identity that positions Élodie Marceau as a thoughtful, contemporary mental wellness professional.
More importantly, it creates a visual environment that reflects the purpose of the practice itself:

Écouter. Comprendre. Avancer.

To listen with attention. To understand with empathy. And to move forward with greater clarity.
