Overview
#PrayForHunt is a brand created by Timothy ValVerde, inspired by the cancer journey of his son, Hunt. The brand embodies resilience, strength, and faith, designed to support and uplift through visually impactful apparel and related media. Tim came to me seeking a visual identity that would tell a meaningful story—one that would resonate emotionally, capture attention, and spark conversation. The brand needed a powerful and cohesive logo system that could translate seamlessly across various touchpoints, from clothing to digital content.
Problem
Tim envisioned a design that was bold, strong, and minimal, encapsulating the powerful essence of the word "Hunt". He emphasised the importance of simplicity and emotional resonance, aiming for a design that would intrigue and connect with its audience. The logo needed to be versatile enough for various merchandise, including hats, sweatshirts, YouTube videos and thumbnails. Most importantly, Tim wanted the design to reflect the strength and determination inherent in the word "Hunt," with subtle storytelling elements honouring Hunt and his journey with retinoblastoma.
Solution
The final logo for #PrayForHunt features a multi-layered mark that combines a hashtag, a cross, and a shuriken. The shuriken pays tribute to Hunt's nickname, "Ninja," adding depth and storytelling while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic. A bespoke typeface complements the mark with sharp, slanted letters that convey progress and forward momentum. This blend of simplicity and meaningful details ensures the brand is strong and recognisable across all formats. The logo system includes standalone and combined versions, offering versatility for various applications while keeping a cohesive, impactful presence. This design makes #PrayForHunt a symbol of resilience, inspiring all who engage with it.
