Building a Brand from Zero

Context

FatCat Stickers started in December 2019 as a co-founded brand with no existing audience, no budget, and no established product line. The challenge was building everything from the ground up; brand identity, product range, sales channels, and an audience while figuring out what actually resonated with customers in real time.

Strategic Approach

Growth was built on a mix of grassroots presence and consistent digital content, anchored by a clear brand identity from the start.
The strategy included:
Defining a distinct brand voice (quirky, trendy, relatable) backed by a proper style guide covering color palette, typography, and mascot design
Showing up in person at events to build direct relationships with customers, not just relying on digital reach
Managing influencer and digital marketing in parallel to widen reach beyond organic followers
Treating product development as ongoing, continuously introducing new designs and products based on what customers responded to
Paid advertising on Instagram and Facebook ran alongside organic content to accelerate reach beyond what grassroots and influencer efforts could achieve on their own, targeting the right audience segments rather than just boosting posts broadly

Execution

Built and maintained the full FatCat brand identity; logo, color palette, typography, brand voice, and secondary mascot
Introduced 6 new products and over 1,000 designs
Conducted on-ground marketing and sales at 9 events
Managed digital and influencer marketing campaigns
Handled a weekly average of 50 customer queries directly
Ran paid advertising campaigns on Instagram and Facebook using Meta Ads Manager to extend reach and drive conversions alongside organic growth

Why It Matters

This was the first proof that brand-building instincts could translate into real, measurable growth without a major marketing budget. Every part of the brand visual identity, voice, product decisions was built and tested in real time against actual customer response, not assumptions.
