Building a Restaurant Brand from Scratch 

Context

Grazie was developed as a full restaurant concept for Lahore's Italian dining space, a market with established, recognizable competitors. The challenge was building a complete brand from the ground up: not just a name and logo, but a narrative, visual identity, and go-to-market plan that could realistically compete and differentiate.

Strategic Approach

Rather than starting with visuals, the approach began with positioning. To gain better understanding of the competitive landscape and to define what Grazie stood for before designing anything.
The strategy included:
Structured competitor analysis across direct and indirect players in Lahore's Italian dining space to identify positioning gaps
A detailed customer persona to inform targeting and messaging
A full narrative foundation with mission, vision, and values before any visual design work began
A comprehensive marketing plan covering promotions, social content, and budget, so the brand had a real path to market, not just an identity
Execution
Co-developed a full restaurant concept with narrative, mission, vision, values, and brand identity, including color palette and typography
Conducted structured competitor analysis across direct and indirect players to identify positioning gaps
Carried out market analysis and built a detailed customer persona
Developed a comprehensive marketing plan including promotions strategy, social media content, and a defined marketing budget
Designed packaging, social content, and launch materials (loyalty cards, workshops, influencer collaborations)
Why It Matters
Grazie shows the ability to take a brand from zero to a fully realized, presentation-ready concept covering strategy, identity, and go-to-market planning as one connected system rather than disconnected deliverables. It's also proof of finding genuine differentiation within a competitive, established category rather than relying on a fresh coat of paint.
Results
A complete restaurant brand system with narrative, visual identity, customer persona, competitor positioning, and a full marketing plan delivered as a polished, presentation-ready deck and report.
