System Magazine
Set Design for Mark Lebon’s story in the 16th issue of System Magazine which paid tribute to Christopher Nemeth and Judy Blame.
PROBLEM: Creative director Yvonne Gold wanted to create a series of still lifes inspired by the 5 elements: Earth, Wind, Water, Fire and Space, whilst paying homage to Chris Nemeth and Judy Blame. Both artists created art from objects and materials that were discarded in their surroundings. How could we use their creative philosophy to make visually exciting editorial images?
SOLUTION: Inspired by their creative philosophy of deconstruction and reconstruction, I designed and created a series of sets made from reclaimed wooden palettes which were commonly dumped in my local area in Hackney.
