Art Direction, Graphic Design and Photography for Betsy Leung’s 2022 MA Collection, titled ‘HappyBetsy’.
PROBLEM: Betsy Leung is a fashion designer who created a collection of punk re-interpretations of Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother dress. How could we create a brand identity to reflect the rebellious and unconventional nature of her collection?
SOLUTION: Inspired by a punk ethos, we created an identity that aimed to break conventions. The identity for the collection was hand drawn, and the typeface would always change from poster to poster.
The posca pen markers were the unifying visual thread across the collection. The lookbook was accented with frames and motifs that drew inspiration from early Cinderella illustrated books.
