Format: 60–90s cinematic spec spot
Tools: Morphic
Context: created for the Contra x Morphic challenge.
Status: fan-made, speculative
Concept
This film is a love letter to two cities at once: Madrid, where I’ve built my present, and Mexico City, where my sense of home began. The ad comes from the emotional reality of distance and return, and from how a flight can carry more than luggage. It can carry memory, language, and the quiet hope of seeing your people again.
Narrative Approach
The piece is built around small, human moments rather than a big plot twist. It follows the feeling of moving through travel as an emotional sequence: anticipation, drifting, tenderness, and the subtle relief of getting closer. The story treats travel as a bridge between identities, not just destinations.
Visual Direction
Grounded, cinematic realism with an intimate tone
Focus on details and micro-gestures that suggest longing and return
Warm, atmospheric lighting that makes travel feel like memory
A steady rhythm that prioritizes emotion over spectacle
Sound and Music
Sound design emphasizes the sensory world of travel and the softness of nostalgia: space, air, movement, and quiet beats that support the emotional arc. Music and voiceover are used to guide mood and meaning without over-explaining.
Production Notes
Created end-to-end in Morphic using around 1,600 credits. I used Copilot to shape the concept, storyboard, and visual direction, then Canvas to animate the shots and build the sound design, music, and voiceover. Each shot was upscaled for a cleaner, more cinematic finish.
