Vado is a technical outdoor apparel brand inspired by nature and driven by the people who seek adventure. Their garments are handcrafted with care and precision, using high-quality materials designed to endure the elements.
To reflect Vado’s values and adventurous spirit, we developed a comprehensive brand identity that includes a Logo Family, custom color palette, typography pairing, and the tagline “Empowered by Nature, Motivated by People.”
We also established a distinctive photography style to capture the brand’s aesthetic and communicate its message visually. With an international user base, the assets we created are versatile, recognizable, and built to support the brand across a wide range of applications—from product imagery to marketing and digital experiences.

Logo

These are the original logo concepts for Vado. We worked through lots of different ideas until ultimately landing on The Sprout, shown below.
The Sprout logo embodies Vado’s values and is designed to be both versatile and scalable, performing well across all applications. It symbolizes constant growth, reflecting the brand’s commitment to progress and adventure.
The concept was inspired by the American Elm, native to the region where Vado was founded, representing the importance of remembering your roots while continually evolving. The logo also reflects the brand’s dedication to nature, community, and sustainability - planting trees, preserving the environment, and supporting those around them.

Color Palette

A custom color palette for Vado that represents elements seen in nature. Being an outdoor apparel brand, these colors were inspired by past and future adventures.

Using the color palette and scaleable logo...

We created images and assets that show the versatility of the logo. It looks at home on a small hat tag, and a billboard.
The color palette blends in to images of nature, and allows Vado to create endless combinations and complimentary visuals.

Typography

Finally, the typography pairing we chose is a simple and minimal family that displays well and is clean and professional just like the rest of the brand.
