Vado Apparel Brand Design

Vado is Empowered by Nature and Motivated by People - we created their new brand identity to reflect that and to express their core values.

1110Design created the Logo Family, Custom color palette and Typography pairing, as well as the tagline "Empowered by Nature, Motivated by People"

We also picked a photography style that worked particularly well to express their vibe and help communicate their message.

Vado is a technical outdoor apparel brand that hand makes each garment with care and precision. Sourcing quality materials designed to endure the elements, and taking inspiration from the great outdoors, and the people that seek adventure. With an international user base for Vado's gear, 1110Design created these assets that are versatile, recognizable and useful to everyone.

Here is the original Mood Board we created for the brand. We used this as our broad compass direction when creating the rest of the assets.



Logo



These are the original logo conepts for Vado. We worked through lots of different ideas until ultimately landing on The Sprout, shown below.



The Sporut Logo is representative of the brand and is versatile and scaleable. It works great at any size and is a reminder of constant growth.

The idea came from the American Elm tree which is native to where Vado was founded. Remember your roots, and never stop growing. Plant a tree, preserve nature, help your community. These are the values that Vado lives by.

Color Palette



A custom color palette for Vado that represents elements seen in nature. Being an outdoor apparel brand, these colors were inspired by past and future adventures.

Using the color palette and scaleable logo...

We created images and assets that show the versatility of the logo. It looks at home on a small hat tag, and a billboard.

The color palette blends in to images of nature, and allows Vado to create endless combinations and complimentary visuals.





Typography



Finally, the typography pairing we chose is a simple and minimal family that displays well and is clean and professional just like the rest of the brand.
