Introduction:

International Support Group (ISG) is a minority-owned US-based company specializing in facility maintenance services for federal, state, and international clients. To streamline and standardize their operations, ISG sought an experienced technical writer to develop comprehensive policies and procedures.

Project Approach:

Hired for my expertise in technical writing, I was tasked with creating and editing Standards of Practice and Standard Work Instruction documents. My approach included:

Collaboration: Engaged with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the Director of Communications through MS Teams to gather insights and requirements.

Research: Reviewed existing documents, videos, and manuals to extract relevant information.

Drafting: Developed clear, concise procedures across multiple departments, including HR, Finance/Payroll, Operations, IT, and Communications.

Revisions: Incorporated feedback from stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with ISG's operational standards.

Outcome:

Successfully delivered a set of polished and detailed SOPs and work instructions that enhanced ISG's operational efficiency. The newly developed documents provided clear guidance for various departments, contributing to improved organizational consistency and compliance.
