ANDMORE

Introduction

Andmore (International Market Centers at the time) operated the Juniper e-commerce platform that provided a way for wholesale buyers and sellers to discover each other, do business, and track sales. A business need arose to enhance the Juniper e-commerce platform with a new SaaS app that could provide sales intelligence and business contact tracking data for the sales representatives that used the platform. I was responsible in developing many new reusable components in Vue 3 for this new application. This included a custom Mapping component, table with filters component, modal and toaster components. Tailwind CSS was used for styles many aspects of the application with custom configurations. The components were all written in TypeScript. The entire frontend code base was organized with a modular architecture approach for long term ease of scalability.
Update: The Juniper platform has now been sunseted: https://info.atmarketandmore.com.

Process Overview

Meeting with product owners and business analysts to determine the system requirements.
Collaborating with frontend colleagues to determine frontend codebase organization, code style guide and required third-party libraries.
Collaborating with product designers to translate design style guides into reusable DRY frontend style definitions to be applied across components.
Collaborating with backend engineers to create documentation for data surfaced by the different API endpoints used to drive the application.
Develop reused global components for the application. Create unit tests for all components and QA finished UI with designers and product owners.
Document the Vue 2 to Vue 3 migration process for those smaller pieces of code and components that required it.

Results

Delivery of an all new SaaS app that unlocked sales insight data for sales reps of wholesale inventory suppliers. This also created a company-wide standard for quickly upgrading from Vue 2 to Vue 3. Also became a template for Vue 3 app development best practices.
