Vaulta: Brand Identity for a Fintech Wealth Platform

We built the brand identity for Vaulta, a digital wealth infrastructure platform for the next generation of professional earners. The directive was specific: nothing about Vaulta should feel like the rest of the category. No neon green, no trading energy, no notifications screaming for attention. We delivered a calm, institutional brand that signals one thing on every surface. Patient capital, built with discipline.

The challenge

Fintech is loud. Most apps lead with trading, push notifications, gamified streaks, and copy that confuses speed with wealth. Vaulta's audience is different. Professionals in their first serious wealth phase. ESOP holders. Tech employees with rising income and no playbook. They want structure, not stimulation. The brand needed to feel closer to Wealthfront and Vanguard than to anything on the Play Store under Finance.

What we built

• A wordmark-led logo system with monogram and icon lockups. Structured, balanced, institutional. • A two-font typographic system. Modern grotesk for UI and body, elegant serif for numbers and headlines. No rounded fintech fonts. • A restricted color system. Deep navy primary, warm off-white canvas, muted gold accent used sparingly. Accessibility rules for every pairing. • A complete brand guidelines document covering logo, color, type, voice, and applications. • UI preview direction for the product team. Onboarding screens, dashboard direction, transaction flows. • Social media templates and an investor deck branding sample.

Why it worked

We treated this as institutional design, not startup design. Most fintech defaults to youthful, energetic, and busy. Vaulta needed to be the opposite, and that does not happen by accident. It comes from making restraint a system: limited type sizes, limited color use, a logo that does not ask for attention, and a tone that earns trust by sounding like a person who reads annual reports, not someone trying to make you sign up.
