Role: I was the lead Product Designer on this project

Project goal: The users (tutors) did not have a proper way of going on a break. They would slack message their managers anytime they would need to go on a shift break or even worse a bio break. When a tutor goes on a bio break; they risk a student connecting with them, so they bring their laptops in the washroom with them.Managers would have to impersonate tutors while they went on a bio break in order to respond to a student that may connect with them while they are gone.This was a huge problem, as it involved legal issues as well.

Solution: I designed 3 flows to meet tutors' needs

• Bio Break. The ability to take a 5 minutes break to go to the washroom.

• Rest Break. The ability to take a 10 minutes break.

• Meal Break. The ability to take a 30 minutes break.
