Working with the CarFactory brothers once again has been an absolute delight. Throughout this new collaboration with their second company, Property Factory, I gained a valuable lesson in the importance of seeking fresh perspectives, preferably from non-designers, to evaluate my work and provide their initial impressions. As designers, we can become so immersed in our creations that we may overlook certain aspects. Allowing our work to marinate and inviting an outsider to examine it can truly be a game-changer.

Initially, I developed the first proposal and shared it with my sister. She astutely pointed out that it resembled gaming-related visuals and appeared overly focused on technology, which was not aligned with the Property Factory brothers' brand strategy. Taking her feedback into consideration, I made adjustments to the logo, but she still had reservations about the color scheme. Determined to deliver a more suitable solution, I decided to gather additional information from the brothers themselves and return with a stronger approach.

To my surprise, they echoed my sister's concerns, expressing a desire for a more real estate-oriented aesthetic, even though their involvement centered on the visual aspects of properties. Taking their feedback into account, I modified the color palette and presented a proposal that I myself was uncertain about. However, as soon as my sister laid eyes on it, she immediately recognized its potential. I refined the design, prepared the second proposal, and presented it. Their response was overwhelmingly positive—they loved it and requested no further changes. This experience demonstrated the power of allowing ideas to develop and benefiting from fresh perspectives.

Through this process, I learned the importance of stepping back, seeking external input, and remaining open to feedback. It reaffirmed that collaborating with individuals who offer diverse viewpoints can elevate the quality of our work. The Property Factory project exemplified the value of marinating ideas and engaging fresh eyes, ultimately leading to a successful outcome. I am excited to apply this knowledge to future projects and continue creating designs that resonate deeply with clients and their target audiences.
