Project Overview
For IGO Church’s 10th anniversary, I designed a modern and engaging promotional campaign to celebrate the church’s milestone. The campaign includes a poster, social media visuals, and digital content for TV screens within the church, with the goal of attracting both churchgoers and non-believers to the event. The design blends the church’s core values with a contemporary and approachable aesthetic.
Objective
The primary objective was to create a visually captivating promotional piece that not only celebrates the anniversary but also highlights key aspects of the church’s activities (water baptism, Bible reading, worship) in an inviting way for the wider community. The design needed to engage locals and newcomers, offering a glimpse into the church’s vibrant community life.
Creative Process
• Research & Concept: I wanted to move beyond the typical “big number” anniversary poster and create a more immersive experience. The collage background features various moments of the church’s activities to show the diversity of the church experience.
• Design Approach: I used a red color palette, reflecting IGO Church’s branding, and incorporated modern, clean typography to keep the focus on the celebratory nature of the event. The number “10” was designed with transparency to allow the background collage to be visible through it, adding depth and meaning to the design.
• Target Audience: While the church’s existing members are familiar with the church’s events, the focus was on attracting newcomers by creating an approachable and informative visual identity. The design needed to spark curiosity about the church’s activities, making it relevant even for those unfamiliar with the church.
Role & Execution
I was responsible for the entire design process, from concept creation to final execution. This included the design of print materials, TV screen graphics, and social media content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Instagram Stories. The final design was meant to be versatile across multiple platforms to create conversation and engagement before and after the event.
Results & Impact
The campaign has already seen engagement from local followers and churchgoers alike. The design has generated interest on social media, with people asking more about the church’s events and how to get involved. Promotional posters are being distributed throughout the community and displayed in various locations around the church. This visibility has helped to increase local awareness and interest in the event, with more attendees expected to join.
Conclusion
The design successfully blends celebration with storytelling, offering both church members and newcomers a visual introduction to what the church represents. It effectively communicates the church’s spirit and mission, making the event feel accessible, exciting, and inclusive.
