I created the web site, including all direct response sales copy and graphical elements, for the wellness-focused web site WellnessWakeupCall.health
Project Goals
The primary goal with this project was to write a sales letter to promote the membership-based wellness program known as Wellness Wakeup Call.
The secondary goal was to create a nice-looking web site to host the sales page and to accommodate the member pages.
Building The Web Site
Fortunately, by the time it came to developing this web site I had already built a similar one for the same client (see the project associated with TheAgelessBrain.com)
This meant I was not starting from scratch but could use my previous experience using Wordpress and the Avada theme to build out the basic pages of the site, including the sales page.
As I mentioned in the summary notes for the brain health project, the Avada theme is not easy to work with, but the graphical presentation it offers is nice. This is why it was chosen for the job.
In addition, this project required a membership area, so I used the WishList membership plugin to Wordpress to build out the member pages.
WishList makes it fairly easy to integrate with Paypal for the payment processing, which was the approach used here.
Fulfillment of the product consisted of sending material to the buyer via a series of weekly email messages. My records show that I wrote 47 emails for this.
Additionally I created another half dozen follow up emails to be used after someone signed up to receive one of the lead magnets for this project.
My records show we created at least 9 separate landing pages for health and wellness-related ebooks which acted as lead magnets.
Writing The Sales Letter
I was instructed for this project to provide a minimal amount of sales copy and to instead emphasize the nature of the product which consists of 6 monthly components doled out in weekly servings.
So I would characterize this sales letter as being somewhat "light" on substance, as per the client's wish. Probably because part of the project required a lot of my "copy efforts" to be spent on developing the buyer's sequence of follow up messages.
Instead, on the sales page I concentrated on finding the elements of each monthly module which might appeal most to the reader.
Writing The Member Email Series
As mentioned, I wrote 47 messages for this project, each one sent out 5 days after the previous one. I remember thinking it was better to send messages so that they arrived on different days of the week, rather than always appearing on the same day.
Sample Email Message #34
Here's one of the messages from the buyer sequence, to show what these looked like.
SUBJECT LINE:
[WELLNESS 34] The 99 secrets I kept from clients
BODY:
It's not entirely true of course.
I actually told them every single one of the 99 secrets. Just never to the same person.
Hey, it's Carolyn Hansen with a brand new guide for today's wellness wakeup call.
As we are on the topic of metabolism I thought you might enjoy a guide I put together when it dawned on me that, as a personal trainer,
I'd managed to acquire a fair bit of useful information about fat loss over the years.
How to get it done reliably and with the least amount of effort.
One evening I sat down and wrote out a list of the most common pieces of advice I found myself giving to clients about this subject.
By the time I was finished I had 99 of them.
Given all the prodding I have received from one client or another about skipping anything that required even a modicum of work I probably should have called the guide "The Lazy Way To Building A Killer Bod In One Weekend".
Instead I gave it the following accurate and more believable title: "The Fat Loss Coach's Pocketbook: 99 Secrets Your Clients Would Kill To Know".
The advice you'll find in the book breaks down into 4 categories:
1. Nutritional Ideas
2. Exercise Strategies
3. Lifestyle Habits
4. Motivational Techniques
The guide is a concise summary of what every good personal trainer brings to the gym each time they sit down with a new client.
A pocketbook of the best tips for ridding yourself of excess fat.
To get your copy you will need to go to the resources page once you have logged into the Wellness Wakeup Call members area.
Remember, you'll need to use your registered email address as your login ID (very likely the address to which this message was sent).
If you cannot remember your password you'll find a link to reset your password below the login button on the login page.
---------------------
The truth is, there's a science to ridding your body of unwanted fat, and it's not the science of rocketry (if it was I'd likely have given up trying to master it a long time ago).
It's something you can learn relatively quickly if you are motivated to do do.
In my opinion you can get it done with 73 pages of advice which deliver these 99 simple secrets.
