The Challenge

Roofing contractor websites are some of the worst on the internet. Stock photos of generic roofs, walls of text about "quality craftsmanship," buried phone numbers, and contact forms that feel like they go nowhere. Homeowners searching for a roofer after a storm need fast answers and immediate trust. Instead, they get websites that look like they were built by the contractor's nephew in 2012.
This project focused on designing a roofing contractor website that actually generates leads. The goal: when a homeowner lands on this site, they should feel confident enough to request a quote within 60 seconds.

Design Approach

The design process started in Figma, where every section was built to convert visitors into consultation bookings.
Key design decisions:
Hero section with immediate CTA. A bold headline addressing the homeowner's pain point ("Protect Your Home. Get a Free Roof Inspection."), a high-quality photo of a completed project, and a prominent "Get Free Quote" button above the fold. No scrolling required to take action.
Service cards with clear scope. Each service (roof replacement, repair, inspection, emergency tarping, gutter installation) gets a visual card with a brief description and direct link to request that specific service. Homeowners find exactly what they need without reading paragraphs.
Before/after project gallery. Side-by-side photos of completed projects showing the transformation. Real projects, real addresses (with permission), real results. This is the most persuasive content on any contractor website, and it's given prominent placement.
Trust signals throughout. License numbers, insurance verification, manufacturer certifications, BBB rating, and years in business are displayed prominently, not hidden in a footer. Google review ratings with actual review snippets are embedded at decision points.
Financing information upfront. Monthly payment estimates and financing options are shown early. Roofing is expensive, and sticker shock kills conversions. Showing "$89/month" next to "$12,000 total" makes the investment feel manageable.
Emergency contact prominence. A sticky phone number bar and "Emergency? Call Now" button are always visible. Storm damage doesn't wait for business hours, and the website shouldn't either.
Clean, professional visual design. Dark backgrounds with bold accent colors (typically orange or blue for contractor brands), large project photography, and clear typography. The design communicates professionalism and reliability. No clip art, no comic sans, no spinning logos.

Page Structure

The landing page follows a lead-generation framework:
Hero: Problem + solution + CTA (5 seconds)
Services: What we do and how we help (15 seconds)
Projects: Proof we deliver results (20 seconds)
Reviews: What customers say (10 seconds)
Financing: How to afford it (10 seconds)
Contact: Multiple ways to reach us (5 seconds)
Total time to conversion: under 60 seconds for motivated homeowners.

The Result

A fully designed roofing contractor website built in Figma, focused on converting local homeowners into booked consultations. The design serves roofing companies, home service contractors, and local service businesses looking for a website that generates qualified leads through trust-building design, clear service presentation, and conversion-optimized page architecture.
