The Kind Skin Club is a skin care company based in the UK with a strong focus on promoting natural, organic products as well as remaining true to their ethical and sustainable values. They pride themselves on being kind to the planet, kind to the animals and kind to our skin.

The Brief

The Kind Skin Club required a new brand identity that would help in raising awareness of their brand and the values they hold, and ultimately, enabling them to create strong connections with their audience.
The Kind Skin Club's products are carefully crafted with natural, organic, cruelty free and vegan ingredients, and they are dedicated to providing high quality, affordable products that are safe and gentle on the skin. All of this needed to be taken into account to ensure that their core values and brand personality were portrayed effortlessly through their new brand identity.
They didn't want to look like every other ethical skincare brand. They wanted to stand out on the shelves and promote their innovative, youthful nature.

Brand Strategy & Creative Direction

To initiate the project, I crafted an extensive presentation outlining the brand strategy and creative guidance. This presentation functioned as a roadmap for the project, outlining the brand's distinctive value proposition and identity, as well as its strategy for distinguishing itself in a competitive market. The brand strategy included crucial aspects such as purpose, vision, values, target demographic, audience personas, competitor analysis, and brand character. The objective of this exercise was to aid The Kind Skin Club in establishing a robust and unforgettable brand image, fostering customer loyalty, and setting it apart from its rivals.
Additionally, I presented two mood board concepts to illustrate the potential creative direction for the project. Each mood board showcased a unique design style with the potential to enhance The Kind Skin Club's visual identity to new heights.

Brand Identity Design

Following the selected mood board concept, I developed The Kind Skin Club's fresh brand identity. This included a comprehensive set of logos, including a primary logo, secondary logo, and submark logo, in addition to a unique colour scheme, complementary font choices, an exclusive brand pattern, and a photography style that authentically captured the brand's style. To ensure the highest quality and effectiveness, I embraced the one-concept approach, channeling my creative energy into a single, thoughtfully chosen design direction aligned with the brand's strategy. Finally, the brand identity was presented in a visually captivating format, ready for feedback and potential refinements.
