SkyPack Mock Ad

Destiny Moore

So this project was for a made-up brand called SkyPack. I got the idea from Word Tonic, who gave some prompts out to members; this one was about a bag that transports the wearer to any destination in the world. Aside from that, I came up with everything else, including the name and logos. I designed these imagining they would be adverts posted on Instagram, or even uploaded as Stories.
The first ad I made was intended to be goofy. Again, I am not a designer, so focus on the concept and pretend it looks pretty!. My idea was to have someone stowing away on a flight (travel is expensive these days) and poking fun of them for not knowing there was an easier way—owning a SkyPack.
The next one was designed to be more formal. I wanted to be clever and think of turning something negative into a positive; I liked the idea of "the weight of the world on your shoulders," since the product is intended to be carried and does give access to the world.
For the actual design, I chose something more subdued. I thought, "What would the bag do while its owner was relaxing?" and then I thought, "It would probably relax too." This is my interpretation of that.
Next up, I wanted something a bit more sleek. Now, I will admit up front that the image was designed by AI; this product obviously doesn't exist, and I wanted a sleeker-looking advert, so I chose to generate an image. I do not have the money to hire a graphic designer, but I imagine I would work with one at some stage.
Anyway, the text was created by me. I wanted something very simple and thought it would be smart to play on the double meaning of the word bag. I also alluded to the fact that, if someone purchased this product, they would save money in the long run.
Finally, I went the cute mascot route. Often products rely on mascots, and they do prove very effective. In this instance, I opted for an AI image again, but would argue that there was skill involved in prompting the image, refining the results, and selecting the most suitable one. I went for a smiley-looking creature to create a cutesy vibe and play on the audience's heartstrings.
For the actual copy, I thought it would be a smart idea to refer to the concept of baggage. Obviously, it is used in travel, but it also refers to the emotional baggage people might be requiring, therefore necessitating a holiday! I talk about 'less baggage', i.e., less stress about going on holiday, but contrast it with the idea of more; basically, my goal was to imply that you wouldn't have to worry about baggage allowance with this product—it takes care of everything for you.
These are the four examples I have come up with. I did attempt design to try and make them look eye-catching, but my services are text only! One day I might branch out into design, but for now, my talent is purely text-based.
