Project Overview
Los Mecánicos 2, the sequel to a beloved local comedy franchise, launched its theatrical campaign with a goal to build awareness, drive engagement, and convert reach into box office sales.
Having worked on the original Los Mecánicos film campaign, I returned as Social Media Strategist to expand on the foundation we built—this time with a stronger focus on content virality, influencer partnerships, and immersive storytelling across Instagram and Facebook.
My Role
As the campaign’s Social Media Strategist, I led the execution across all digital platforms. Key responsibilities included:
Designing and executing the multi-phase content strategy
Coordinating with over a dozen local influencers and talent for teaser and promo collaborations
Producing and managing live social media coverage during the movie premiere and promotional events
Creating and scheduling engaging, high-performing content (reels, trailers, stories)
Monitoring analytics and optimizing content in real-time

Influencer collabs (e.g., Luis, Jasond Calderón) yielded engagement rates above 35K per post
“Live from the Premiere” and event activations reached over 117K on Facebook, with 76K+ engagements
Trailer + teaser rollout generated 1.7M total impressions and 462K+ engagements
