I conducted web research to consolidate four Excel spreadsheets into one, aiming to streamline data for better accessibility and accuracy to meet the client's needs.
🤔Challenges:
One major challenge was removing duplicates without losing important data. I also needed to verify the accuracy of phone numbers and email addresses, as some were outdated. Additionally, I had to confirm individuals' current company information since many may have changed jobs.
💡Solutions:
To tackle these challenges, I adopted a structured approach:
🧩 Data Consolidation:
I merged the four spreadsheets into one, meticulously checking for duplicates and ensuring that unique entries remained.
🗂️ Organization:
The consolidated spreadsheet was organized into seven columns.
🌐 Web Research:
I verified each individual's NMLS number and company details on the NMLS Consumer Access website and cross-checked company email addresses through Google searches.
📧 Email Verification:
Personal email addresses (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo) were kept as they were confirmed accurate. Company emails were verified against reliable sources. ✅
🏆Results:
The final output was an organized spreadsheet that met all client specifications, with duplicates removed and verified contact details. The client appreciated the precise, thorough data, improving operational efficiency.
