The Challenge
Zoomers and Millenials are unsatisfied with the disconnected experience of inviting friends to events and need a simple way to get the word out without requiring multiple platforms and channels.
The Process
The process of building meets incorporated a variety of research methods, design tools, and user feedback to create a human-centred experience.
To understand the needs, motivations, and expectations of the audience, I conducted one-on-one interviews and synthesised the findings into key insights, pain points, and opportunity areas using affinity mapping.
From here, I was able to create user personas, a customer journey map, and design principles to guide and inform the overall experience and direction of the app.
In order to craft the end-to-end experience I then sketched out and prioritised the key features, information architecture, user flows, and wireframes.
Through competitive analysis and research into the target demographic, I then crafted a visual strategy and developed a distinctive look and feel for the user interface.
The Solution
Guided by the rich user insights gathered across the research and testing process, the final Meets prototype encompassed an end-to-end invitation experience for party throwers and goers to collaboratively create, send, and accept event invitations in a simple and connected way.
