SETMA is a workplace safety, occupational health and environmental consultancy in Recife, Brazil. It writes risk programs and technical reports, runs safety trainings and handles environmental licensing for small and mid-sized companies across the Northeast of Brazil. Its old site ran on WordPress and Elementor.
Their clients are owners and HR managers who usually arrive from Google or a referral, often with a deadline or an inspection coming. The new site had to make clear what SETMA does, in plain language, and turn a visit into a WhatsApp conversation.
What I built
A home page that offers a free first assessment before any scrolling, with real photos from SETMA’s own work.
Sixteen services grouped by what a business needs (occupational health, workplace safety, environment, safety culture) instead of by regulation acronym.
A page for each service: who needs it, what SETMA delivers, how the work goes and common questions.
A training page with photos and video from an on-site course SETMA ran at a client’s facility.
A four-step method section that draws itself as you scroll.
WhatsApp buttons with a message already written for each service.
A blog, with the articles from the old site kept, and the old URLs redirected so the pages already found on Google kept working.
Design decisions
Dark green and orange, taken from SETMA’s own brand, with one typeface throughout.
Real photos and video from their own work only. No stock images of smiling workers.
Plain language: the copy explains each obligation without legal jargon or loose acronyms.
Made for the phone. The live site scores 97 for performance and 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO in Lighthouse on mobile (median of three runs on 5 Nov 2026).
If you run a service business
People hiring a consultant want to know quickly what you do, whether you understand their situation and how to talk to you. Your site has to answer that without making anyone hunt for it. I design and build websites like this from scratch.
