Lúcio Pessôa: Therapist website redesign

Lúcio Pessôa is a Master Therapist in TRG (Generative Reprocessing Therapy) in Recife, Brazil. He sees individuals and couples in person and online, including Brazilians living abroad. His old site ran on WordPress and Elementor.

The new site had two goals: earn more trust from people looking for therapy, and get found more often on Google, especially for "terapia em Recife". Everything leads to one action: a WhatsApp message to book the first session.

A home page that shows who he is, his credential and his Google rating before any scrolling.

A page for each kind of therapy (individual, couples, pairs and online), with the key facts, who it is for, how it works and common questions.

A page for his own couples method, plus pages for mentoring, writing workshops, company talks and his seven books.

WhatsApp buttons with a message already written for each subject, so nobody has to work out what to say first.

A blog, with the articles from the old site rewritten and kept.

The old URLs stayed in place, so the pages already ranking on Google kept their addresses.

Warm rather than clinical: cream, petrol blue and olive, a serif for the headlines and a typeface made for legibility in the running text. No stock photos of smiling people.

Careful language: the copy describes what happens in the sessions and who it may suit, with no promised outcomes. The only reviews on the site are real ones from his Google profile.

Made for the phone, where most people look for a therapist. The live site scores 93 for performance and 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO in Lighthouse on mobile (measured on 1 Nov 2026).

People check a therapist carefully before they send a first message. Your site has to show who you are, how you work and how to reach you, without making anyone hunt for it. I design and build websites like this from scratch.
