Wheel is an HR tech platform designed to connect candidates and employers beyond traditional resumes.

By focusing on soft skills, personal values, and video responses, Wheel introduces a more human approach to recruitment, helping companies discover candidates who align with their culture and expectations.

Our goal was to redesign the existing experience into a clear, intuitive, and visually consistent product across mobile and desktop.

The existing platform struggled with usability issues that disrupted the recruitment journey.

Broken navigation, inactive buttons, inconsistent UI patterns, and limitations in LinkedIn data imports created unnecessary friction for candidates.

The challenge was to simplify complex recruitment workflows while supporting Wheel’s unique approach to talent matching.

We started with UX research, a usability audit, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.

Next, we restructured the information architecture and developed wireframes to establish clearer user journeys.

For the visual direction, we explored two design concepts, evaluating hierarchy, contrast, and usability before selecting the final approach.

We redesigned the candidate journey with clearer navigation, structured onboarding, and more intuitive interactions.

The interface highlights candidates’ soft skills, personal strengths, and values, supporting Wheel’s approach to matching people with companies.

We established a unified visual language across mobile and desktop, improving consistency and making the experience easier to navigate.

A structured UI kit and reusable components provide a foundation for future product development.
