Cricket Prediction & Fantasy Contest App UX/UI Design | Wizplay

Wizplay is a cricket prediction mobile app where fans explore upcoming matches, join contests, answer match-related questions and compete with others for real prizes.

The app combines live match browsing, prediction contests, leaderboards and a dual wallet with real money and in-app coins, all wrapped in a gamified experience with levels, XP and badges.

Our goal was to design a mobile app that makes joining a contest fast and exciting, while keeping money, rules and eligibility completely clear for every player.

Prediction and fantasy apps deal with a lot at once: live matches, contest rules, entry fees, prize pools, leaderboards, payments, withdrawals and identity verification.

The challenge was to make all of this feel simple and trustworthy. Users needed to understand how a contest works, what it costs and what they can win in seconds, while financial actions like adding money, withdrawing and KYC had to feel secure and easy to complete.

We designed the product around three main areas: Matches, Contests and the Wallet, introduced right away in a three-step onboarding.

Every money-related step was built with transparency in mind: entry fees, possible winnings, prize ranges and eligibility criteria are visible before a user joins, and clear states guide people when they have insufficient funds or have already joined a contest.

We also explored different welcome screen versions, designed every key state (default, focused, filled, error) and added animations to make the experience feel lively and polished.

Users sign up with email, Apple ID or Google, confirm with a one-time code and go through a short onboarding about matches, contests and the wallet. Clear error states for fields and Terms checkboxes make registration painless.

The home page shows current and upcoming matches with live scores, search and notifications. Filters by date, team and match type (T20, T10, ODI, Test) help users find the right game, and each match page shows teams with player roles like captain, wicket keeper or all-rounder.

Each contest, such as Death Overs, shows the time, entry fee, number of participants, possible winnings and eligibility (18+, completed KYC, minimum balance). Players answer questions like who wins the toss, total sixes or whether there will be a Super Over, earn points and track results on the leaderboard and prize breakdown.

The wallet separates real money and coin balances, with daily check-in rewards, coin–money conversion, top-up via Razorpay or Cashfree, withdrawal, identity verification and transaction history. The profile shows level, XP, badges and past contests, while settings cover subscription management, referrals, language and notifications.

The final design turns a complex mix of sports data, contest mechanics and payments into a clear, engaging mobile app experience where fans can join a contest in a few taps and always know what they are playing for.

Gamification through levels, XP, badges and coin rewards keeps users coming back between matches, while transparent money flows and KYC build the trust a real-money product needs.
