Built with Framer

Wonderboy Studio Website

Joshua Braines-Mead

How do you launch a credible studio with all your previous work under NDA?

It's a tough challenge, for sure - and one I had to solve for the launch of Wonderboy.
I was going out on my own after years of working in digital agencies, which meant all of the work I'd previously done couldn't attributed to me and my new studio. A creative with an empty portfolio? Sounds like a nightmare.
Instead of relying on beautiful mockups and case studies, I shifted my approach intro creating a focused, planned-out funnel to capture quality leads with a strong positioning.
If I was telling the right story, then I didn't need to show work. So, I built a flow - one that addresses the emotional beats of my audience and provides a clear connection to the services I offer.
Of course, you can't run a digital studio without a slick website - like how you wouldn't trust a chef who wouldn't taste their own food. So, I created an engaging identity full of personality, vibrancy, and playful character that cut through the usual professional agency look.
With a few microinteractions in the mix and a ton of cheek, you've got a lightweight but very effective funnel that's perfect for the launch of a small studio
