Construction Timeline Video Presentation

A video presentation bridges the gap between complex CAD data, detailed scheduling and a finished landmark site. At the early stages of a construction project, we combined real-world location satellite images with 3D models to create a realistic simulation of the construction build timeline.

The presentation illustrates the complex logistics of a major build, seen from 360 degree aerial viewpoints. From access routes to groundworks and materials delivery, to cranes erecting steelwork and cast concrete, to building envelope completion, equipment fit-out and final site landscaping. Stakeholders can quickly see exactly how a project timeline evolves through critical engineering milestones.

Instead of overwhelming stakeholders with heavy BIM data, a presentation video provides an engaging, intuitive and instantly digestible understanding of the project’s scale and operational reality. This visual clarity assists better communication, manages stakeholder expectations, and significantly reduces risk by allowing for early identification of potential logistical bottlenecks before construction begins.

The ‘4D’ view provides a powerful tool for investor relations, planning approvals, and project marketing, making complex engineering timelines easy to visualize and share. Visual clarity helps streamline decision making, keeping the project on track.

As a project progresses, I can manage the capture of 4K drone aerials and ground-level video of construction work, to be combined with graphics for important statistics and 3D models to highlight key events in the project timeline. This can be used to create 'video updates' with real footage of work as it happens in reality. This ensures that every stakeholder, regardless of their location or technical background, is perfectly aligned with the project’s reality. These high-fidelity updates provide the confidence that the project is on track.
