About: OH Belly is a modern prebiotic soda brand designed to make gut health feel joyful, approachable, and refreshing. Positioned in the functional beverage space, the brand blends zero-sugar formulation with clean ingredients and playful, feel-good branding. OH Belly reimagines wellness as something light, bubbly, and emotionally uplifting, proving that supporting your gut can still feel fun.
Tagline: Good Fizz. Good Vibes.

01 — Project Overview

This project focused on building a playful yet polished identity system that could live seamlessly across touchpoints.

02 — The Challenge

The functional beverage market is saturated with either:
Minimal, muted wellness brands
Or overly loud, high-sugar soda nostalgia
OH Belly needed to stand confidently in the “better-for-you” category while maintaining warmth and approachability.
The brand had to communicate:
Zero sugar
Gut support
Clean ingredients
Everyday enjoyment
Without feeling sterile or overly technical.

03 — Brand Strategy

Positioning: A feel-good soda for modern consumers who care about wellness but still want fun.
Brand Personality: Bright • Light • Playful • Honest • Refreshing
Core Message: “Good fizz. Good vibes.”
OH Belly isn’t just about digestion; it’s about feeling good from the inside out.

04 — Visual Identity

Logo

The wordmark is bold, rounded, and friendly; echoing the softness and ease of the product experience.
The heart icon above the “OH” symbolizes:
Gut health
Emotional wellbeing
Joy in everyday routines
The upward marks radiating from the heart reflect energy, positivity, and that subtle “spark” of carbonation.
The typography is confident and modern, designed for strong shelf visibility while maintaining softness.

Color System

The main colour palette centers around:
Soft sky blue (freshness + hydration)
Warm pink (wellness + positivity)
A pop of neon yellow (energy + vitality)
Together, they create a balanced visual tone that feels refreshing and approachable.

Mockup Creation

To bring OH Belly to life in a realistic retail context, I used Kittl.com to assist in generating high-quality product mockups. This allowed me to quickly visualize the brand across cans, multi-pack carriers, and in-store signage while maintaining creative control over layout, typography, and visual direction.
AI-supported mockups helped accelerate the presentation phase and showcase how the identity performs in real-world applications.

04 — Packaging Design

The slim 330ml can was designed for clean visual impact with strong vertical presence.
Key packaging elements include:
“Zero Sugar” clearly communicated
“Prebiotic Soda” highlighted in a pill-shaped container
Minimal ingredient callout panel
50g gut support badge
The design keeps negative space intentional to reinforce lightness and breathability; mirroring the brand’s promise.

05 — Retail & Experiential Touchpoints

Beyond the can, the brand extends into:
Multi-pack carrier design
A-frame sidewalk signage for promotional sampling display
The messaging remains bold and friendly:
“FREE SAMPLE.” “TRY ONE NOW.”
This ensures the brand voice feels consistent from shelf to street.
