VerseQuest Bible Quiz App Design

VerseQuest is a Bible quiz mobile app designed to make Scripture exploration fun, engaging, and rewarding. Users can test their knowledge across different books of the Bible, track their progress, earn badges, and compete with friends, all while growing in faith. The app blends gamification with spiritual learning to encourage daily engagement with God’s Word.

To create an intuitive, engaging, and visually vibrant quiz experience that encourages users, both young and old, to interact with the Bible consistently through bite-sized, challenging, and rewarding quizzes.

Stakeholder Interview I spoke with the client to understand their expectations, priorities, and vision for the app. Simplicity, offline usability, and bold color expression were key requests.

User Interviews I interviewed 3 potential users: a youth leader, a Bible student, and a casual Christian app user. These interviews revealed the need for fun feedback, performance stats, and more visual cues for spiritual growth.

Competitive Analysis I analyzed apps like Bible Trivia, YouVersion Bible App, and Quizlet to identify feature gaps.

Design Decisions I opted for a gamified layout with a bold, complementary color palette to make the “quiet” terracotta base (#BA5A3E) pop. Text styles and spacing followed iOS/Android accessibility guidelines.

The result is a fun, spiritually-rooted mobile quiz app design that’s vibrant, easy to use, and optimized for growth and habit-building. Users are encouraged to stay consistent with daily streaks, track XP and Bible progress, and engage in themed challenges that deepen their understanding of Scripture.
