Background

A leading EV charging software company engaged me to develop strategic brand identity recommendations. The goal was to enhance their appeal to enterprise clients while preserving their core values and brand personality. This project involved a comprehensive analysis of the existing brand identity, strategic recommendations for visual evolution, and the design of a landing page and marketing materials for an upcoming webinar.

Challenge

The challenge here was to conduct a comprehensive analysis of COMPANY X's current brand identity system and prepare detailed recommendations for visual evolution opportunities. I had to create a strategic mood board showcasing the proposed direction and document the reasoning behind all critique points and suggestions. The deliverables included a landing page design, incorporating the proposed visual direction, a cohesive social media carousel (4-5 slides), at least 2 digital advertising banners in 2 sizes, and a Google Slides template—all created in Figma.

Solution

After conducting a comprehensive analysis of Company X's existing visual identity—including the logo, color palette, typography, and imagery—I compiled my recommendations into a structured document that included detailed paragraphs and visual examples. Each suggestion was accompanied by an example ensuring transparency and clarity in the decision-making process. The evaluation of my work was focused on how effectively each element communicates the brand's message and values.
I designed the requested deliverables (landing page, deck, social media ads) to showcase the proposed visual direction, creating a cohesive visual representation of the recommended changes. Using Figma, I developed all the marketing materials to illustrate the application of the new brand identity, demonstrating versatility and creativity in graphic design across various platforms.

Results

This project was quite a challenge for me as it involved a thorough analysis and strategy development for COMPANY X's brand identity evolution. The presentation of my findings in a structured format that could transform into practical marketing materials was a milestone for developing a new design system. By aligning the visual direction with the needs of enterprise clients, I created cohesive and impactful visuals that enhance the company's current market positioning and make a statement for further expansion. Each design asset followed the overarching goal of brand revamping while staying true to the current widely recognized brand identity. Such design decisions are crucial for a smooth transition between the old renowned style and the upcoming future-oriented look.
