Problem:

I led a recruiting project for a major retailer focused on addressing the challenge of long time-to-hire numbers for hourly employees. The goal was to identify inefficiencies in the recruitment process that were slowing down the hiring cycle.

Action:

To tackle this, I conducted a comprehensive systems analysis of the entire recruiting process. This involved mapping out each step of the hiring journey, from initial candidate sourcing to final onboarding. I worked closely with recruiting leaders and stakeholders to gather data, review workflows, and identify bottlenecks.

Result:

As a result of the analysis, recruiting leaders gained a high-level view of the specific aspects of their hiring process that were causing delays. This insight enabled them to make informed decisions and implement targeted improvements, ultimately enhancing the efficiency of their recruitment efforts and reducing the time-to-hire for hourly positions.
