PROJECT GOAL
Create a distinctive product presentation that uses motion, realistic imagery and hands-on interactions to make a headphone brand memorable. SONAR is an independent fictional-brand portfolio project.
MY ROLE
Visual direction, content structure, responsive front-end development, motion design, product interactions, audio programming, media preparation and functional checks.
VISUAL EXPERIENCE
A dark editorial layout combines oversized typography, luminous lime accents and detailed product imagery. The hero, moving text bands, wave graphics and scroll-driven product scenes build a continuous narrative. A three-chapter sticky detail sequence moves from the full silhouette to the metal surface and cushion texture. Lifestyle scenes place the product in city and studio settings.
PRODUCT EXPLORATION
Three selectable finishes update product views and the selected edition. Interactive hotspots explain the headband, earcup and cushion. A gallery provides enlarged product images with previous/next controls, zoom and keyboard navigation. The packaging section opens to reveal a proposed kit and selectable accessory details.
AUDIO AND SERVICE
A compact side player offers City and Focus modes using an original synthesised Web Audio soundscape. Playback is user-triggered, with volume and stop controls. Four consistent service cards flip to reveal delivery, returns, care and product-help information. FAQ accordions provide additional explanations. A motion-pause control and reduced-motion handling offer a quieter browsing experience.
SHOPPING JOURNEY
The illustrative shopping bag supports colour and quantity changes. The checkout presentation includes delivery details, delivery-region and shipping choices, payment-method selection, a calculated sample total, order-review/confirmation screens and an email preview. These demonstrate interface states without processing an actual purchase, payment or email.
IMPLEMENTATION
HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with Web Audio API, responsive layouts, optimised WebP assets, semantic controls and native dialogs. Scroll interactions use passive input handling and animation-frame updates, with manual controls and static alternatives where appropriate. Reusable modules and integration notes are saved separately.
DELIVERED OUTCOME
A working, interactive product-storytelling experience covering discovery, visual inspection, edition selection, packaging and a sample shopping flow. The project demonstrates front-end design and interaction capabilities rather than verified hardware specifications or sales results.
Designed and built a responsive headphone concept with scroll storytelling, colour selection, zoom, interactive unboxing and a custom Web Audio player.
