An independently developed software product by BAUVERIS for airport transfer, chauffeur and shuttle businesses. TransferCalc combines configurable fare calculation with a clear ride enquiry flow on the operator’s own WordPress website.
My contribution
Product concept, interface design, PHP and JavaScript development, WordPress integration, Google API connections, German/English interfaces, testing and setup documentation.
Core functionality
• Fixed-price routes without Google, or optional Google road routing
• Pickup and destination address suggestions
• Optional click-to-load route map and pickup-time traffic forecasts
• Vehicle classes with passenger and luggage limits
• Outbound and return journeys, configurable fares, extras and night surcharges
• WordPress enquiry dashboard, references, statuses and CSV export
• Internal email notifications and configurable data retention
Technical approach
WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, Google Routes API, Places API (New) and Maps JavaScript API. Separate server and browser keys, keyboard-friendly address selection and responsive layouts. The supplied plugin contains no operator credentials.
Validation and delivery
Tested fixed fares, Google routing, address suggestions, route maps, traffic forecasts and the enquiry flow. Includes German and English installation guides. Enquiries are not confirmed bookings; passenger payments, live availability and dispatch are outside the current scope. Google usage requires the operator’s own billed account.
Outcome
A published WordPress software product with configurable business settings and optional custom development. No client revenue or conversion results are claimed.
