ÉLARA — BEAUTY & SKINCARE WEBSITE

PROJECT GOAL Create a warm, elegant beauty-studio presence that makes treatments easy to explore and gives visitors a clear route to an appointment. This independent portfolio project combines an editorial homepage with a broader bilingual WordPress treatment and booking implementation.

MY ROLE Visual design, responsive frontend, treatment content architecture, image preparation, WordPress theme development and booking-interface implementation.

DESIGN Warm cream backgrounds, dark brown text, Abril Fatface headings and IBM Plex Serif body text establish a calm editorial identity. A large spa-interior hero leads into moving text bands, a two-column introduction and an edge-to-edge treatment grid. Distinct treatment photographs, skincare imagery, lash/brow close-ups and studio imagery illustrate each area. Images use consistent cropped frames while preserving their proportions.

TREATMENT DISCOVERY The homepage introduces signature facials, glow and clarifying care, personal rituals, gentle skincare, body care and lashes/brows. The wider WordPress implementation includes dedicated treatment and beauty pages, category-based browsing and individual treatment content. German and English content structures support bilingual navigation.

APPOINTMENT EXPERIENCE The WordPress booking interface allows visitors to select a service, date and available time, enter required contact fields, review a reservation reference and cancel a reserved slot. Availability uses a shared-resource model with overlap checks. Only anonymous slot metadata is persisted; contact fields stay in browser memory. This is an appointment-interface implementation, not a connected salon CRM, payment processor or external calendar service.

INTERACTIONS AND RESPONSIVE DESIGN Subtle image interactions, moving text bands, clear calls to action, touch-friendly navigation and responsive layouts keep the focus on treatments. Motion respects reduced-motion preferences. The supplied video presents the user-approved current design.

DELIVERY Custom WordPress theme, bilingual content structures, reusable treatment components, a separate appointment plugin and an updated homepage design. The current redesigned homepage is maintained as a separate frontend preview; its full migration into the existing WordPress theme remains a separate implementation step. The images in this portfolio show that current design, rather than an invented customer result.
