Designing a Smarter Personal Finance Experience for Expense Tracking and Financial Insights
Overview
RoboTax is a personal finance mobile application designed to help individuals effortlessly track expenses, analyze spending habits, and access historical financial records. By organizing expenses from the past five years into a single, intuitive platform, the app enables users to gain greater control over their finances and make informed budgeting decisions.
The objective of this project was to create a clean, user-friendly mobile experience that transforms complex financial data into meaningful insights while making expense tracking simple, accessible, and engaging.
The Challenge
Managing personal finances often involves scattered bank statements, receipts, and transaction histories. Users struggle to understand where their money is going, making budgeting and financial planning difficult.
The challenge was to simplify expense management into an intuitive mobile experience that helps users visualize spending trends, review historical data, and make smarter financial decisions without overwhelming them with numbers.

To better understand user behavior, I explored how individuals manage personal finances, review expenses, and monitor budgets.
