This exploration presents a to-do list dashboard designed to help users manage daily tasks, priorities, and progress in a calm, structured workspace. The goal was to create a system that supports focus, clarity, and consistent task completion without feeling overwhelming.
The Challenge
Many task management tools overload users with too many views, controls, and notifications. This often turns productivity tools into sources of stress rather than support. The challenge was to design a dashboard that keeps tasks visible and actionable while maintaining a sense of simplicity and control.
Von Restorff Effect
The Von Restorff effect, also known as The Isolation Effect, predicts that when multiple similar objects are present, the one that differs from the rest is most likely to be remembered.
Design Approach
We focused on a clean layout with clear task grouping, expandable task details, and minimal visual noise. Priority labels, progress indicators, and subtle status states help users understand what matters most at a glance. The interface guides users naturally from planning to execution.
The Solution and Impact
By reducing complexity and emphasizing clarity, the to-do list dashboard helps users stay organized and focused throughout the day. Tasks feel manageable, priorities are clearer, and users can build consistent productivity habits with less friction.
